During installation and commissioning of ovens, the data logger and thermal barrier are placed into the oven to be checked.
Four thermocouples are used, placed in strategic areas, to monitor oven performance and accuracy.
It uses this system to check both on-line and boxed ovens.
The OQ606 was chosen for its accuracy, ease of use and repeatability which is essential to ensure 100% curing of the coating on variable metal masses.
In addition, the company offers a consultancy service to the trade, checking customers' own ovens using the Grant Instruments system.
The Grant OQ606 features sample rates that can be up to eight times a second or down to once in two hours.
It is battery powered, using three AA cells, with up to 200 hours operation at default settings.
There are six thermocouple channels and measuring range is -200C to +1300C with a logger operating temperature of up to 65C.
Standard Grant kits are available to suit most applications.
This includes a standard range of thermal barriers with typical operating temperatures of 250C for a duration of 45 minutes.
Custom made loggers and barriers are also available.
