The new Soxtherm Rapid Soxhlet Extraction System from Gerhardt is said to be ideal for many food applications where fast, efficient same day fat results are required Soxtherm is available as a two, four, or six place unit to suit all laboratories

Large or small beakers may be used depending on the sample type to optimise solvent usage.

Extracted fat can be weighed for total determination, or can be titrated for free fatty acids.

The updated fat extraction system can now be operated with the recently developed Soxtherm Manager from the comfort of your own PC.

This Windows based programme is now available to provide enhanced controlled benefits to the alternative multistat control system.

The PC software is capable of running up to four Soxtherm extraction units simultaneously and will store operation data for GLP.
