Evaporation system speeds HPLC sample
purification
Genevac has recently launched the R-4 random access evaporation system specifically designed to aid efficient solvent evaporation from purified HPLC sample fractions
Where purified fractions consist of varying gradients of different solvents, such as water and acetonitrile, the resulting difference in evaporation rates often causes rotor imbalance during the drying process, causing significant instrument vibration and shutdown In addition, fast drying fractions can reach unacceptable temperatures without adequate temperature control
