Pittcon preview: Genevac
New tools for parallel drug discovery, including parallel synthesis and reaction stations and centrifugal evaporators designed to take tubes, flasks and vials directly from the process
At Pittcon 2003, Genevac says it will present a range of products to help speed up your chemistry To meet the need to deliver an increasing number of novel drug compounds many pharmaceutical companies are switching their compound generation programmes from serial chemistry to parallel synthesis

Evaporation system speeds HPLC sample purification
Genevac has recently launched the R-4 random access evaporation system specifically designed to aid efficient solvent evaporation from purified HPLC sample fractions
Genevac will display the latest leading edge parallel synthesis and reaction stations from distribution partners Radleys Discovery Technologies Ltd.
and Barnstead STEM.
With a choice of products optimised for process development or combinatorial chemistry, technical specialists will be on hand to demonstrate how the systems allow faster, more controllable reactions in carousel tubes and round-bottom flasks.
With parallel synthesis comes the need for parallel sample drying using instruments from the Genevac range of centrifugal evaporators.
Genevac centrifugal evaporators are designed to take tubes, flasks and vials directly from the synthesis process, eliminating a manual handling step, increasing recoveries and removing the chance of cross contamination.
The perfectly dried compound mixture is then ready for parallel purification on a Flash chromatograph.
Genevac is on stand 3316 at Pittcon.
