Large freeze dryer accelerates pilot scale work
Genevac has announced the introduction of the VirTis VirTual large capacity pilot scale freeze-dryer designed for fast drying and high condenser loading applications
The Mega 1200 systems will form an integral part of Scynexis' new Hit Factory - an industrialised drug discovery compound production laboratory capable of delivering millions of screening compounds per year.
In near continuous use, the MEGA 1200 will be exclusively responsible for drying down purified fractions from Scynexis' preparative HPLC systems.
Following reformatting onto plates, further large scale evaporation capacity will be provided by a Genevac HT-12 system, enabling customers to specify dry compounds on plates for delivery and storage, thereby offering convenient and cheap compound logistics.
Scynexis, which is headquartered at Research Triangle Park in the USA, chose Genevac for its advanced drying technology, which gives class-leading contamination control and ultra high-throughput solvent removal from a wide variety of sample formats.
