The Equator instruments facilitate sample preparation in a broad range of applications such as genomics, proteomics, HTS and diagnostics and have seen particularly strong growth recently in miniaturisation of assays.
Some of the major areas addressed to date include SNP genotyping, DNA sequencing, Maldi plate loading, cell and biochemical HTS assays, and non-contact arraying.
The Equator liquid handling instruments feature the company's proprietary and patented spot-on technology which incorporates non-contact nanolitre and microlitre pipetting.
"The addition of Deerac Fluidics and their superb technology greatly enhances and compliments GRI's range of liquid handling products," stated Simon Nicklin, GRI's managing director.
"We believe that miniaturisation of assays within genomics and other research fields will facilitate further advances in drug discovery within UK biotechnology and that our relationship with Deerac will be beneficial to both new and existing customers".
Deerac Fluidics is similarly delighted with the new partnership.
Managing director Jurgen Osing commented: "Deerac Fluidics has chosen GRI for its expertise in marketing genomic research instrumentation and its ability to support and service the systems in the field, as well as the access routes that GRI has forged in the UK marketplace over the previous 22 years of its operations.
"We look forward to a healthy working relationship with GRI and continued development of our strong sales growth to date in the UK market".
The Equator range of low volume liquid handling products from Deerac Fluidics is available immediately from GRI.
