Leading lab standardises genome
sequencing

Colony picking platforms have been installed and are now productive within the sequencing laboratory at a world leading biomedical research centre, contributing reliably to the daily workflow

Genetix reports that the Broad Institute, a world leading biomedical research centre, has chosen the Genetix QPix2XT - a high specification colony picking system - for the standardisation of its genome sequencing operations Building on experience with Genetix QBot systems, the Institute now owns nine Genetix QPix2XT instruments

These new picking platforms have been installed and are now productive within the sequencing laboratory, contributing reliably to the daily workflow.

George Hutchinson, marketing manager, picking and placing at Genetix said: "We are pleased to be supporting one of the most productive sequencing operations in the world.

"Integrating our systems into an environment that has a current performance of 220K sequencing reads per day is a true test of the performance of our technology".

The Genetix QPix2XT was chosen for its ability to deliver a reliability and performance consistent with the Institute's workflow needs and practices.

The decision was also based on Genetix long-term track record, having provided six years of service, support and collaboration to researchers now based at Broad. Request a free brochure from Genetix ...
