Guava Technologies has been named as a recipient of a prestigious 2006 Frost and Sullivan Award for Excellence in Technology

The Frost and Sullivan 2006 Excellence in Technology Award in the field of cell-based assays was presented to Guava Technologies, for its development of high performance technology platforms, including the Personal Cell Analysis systems, for cell-based assay applications The Excellence in Technology Award is bestowed upon a company that has pioneered the development and introduction of an innovative technology that has the potential to impact several market sectors

The Award also recognises the recipients overall technical excellence and its commitment towards technical innovation.

Guava Technologies, a privately held biotechnology company, is the leading provider of on-demand, easy-to-use single cell analysis systems.

Guava Personal Cell Analysis (PCA) systems, including the Guava PCA, Guava PCA-96, Guava EasyCyte and EasyCyte Mini systems, are integrated, fully optimised, microcapillary cytometry systems with embedded absolute cell counting capability.

Used worldwide by the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as clinical testing institutions (outside the United States and Europe), Guava's products have broad applications in scientific research and throughout the drug discovery and lead optimisation process, as well as for cell counting and optimisation of commercial biopharmaceutical production.

Guava offers a variety of assays and dedicated software modules for the Guava PCA systems, enhancing the system's overall ease-of-use.

Guava Technologies' systems require only a few microlitres of samples, such as cultured and blood cells, for each experiment, saving precious cells and reagents and reducing potentially hazardous biological waste.

These highly sensitive systems offer precise, accurate and easy-to-read results with often less than one day of training.
