Capacities have been extended for greater flexibility, including a 75lbf model that the company believes no other manufacturer offers.
The LG series gauges are compact, rugged and intrinsically safe for robust industry use.
Testing in both tensile and compression modes covers most applications.
Accuracy is excellent, with the new gauges providing 0.5% (of full scale), and the force capacities now go up to 100lbf (50kgf, 500N) for increased choice.
The easy to read measurement dial rotates 360deg for easy taring and reading resolution is accurate to 0.5%, compared to 1% on gauge models offered by other manufacturers.
LG series gauges can be mounted on all Chatillon mechanical test stands, including the latest MT series.
A simple rotary mechanical switch enables fast peak result capture, and an in-built safety feature protects against damaging mechanical overload.
Metric and imperial versions are available to satisfy the different testing requirements across the world.
Typical force measurement applications include testing the strength of medical devices, electronic components, springs, plastics and rubber, automotive components, packaging, textiles, business equipment, general manufacturing and more.
With the LG series, all customers receive a certification of calibration.
For assurances over gauge calibration and performance, the Ametek Test and Calibration Instruments Division is the only electronic force gauge manufacturer in the United States to be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025-1999 standards.
Manufactured in the USA, the LG series will be marketed under the Chatillon and Ametek brands.
The gauges are available from Ametek for customers in the USA, and Lloyd Instruments is in charge of sales for UK, Europe, Africa, and Middle East. Request a free brochure from Lloyd Instruments ...
