These compact and rugged products are ideal for a variety of spectroscopic measurement applications such as drug discovery, process control, laboratory research and medical diagnostics

Headwall Photonics has introduced the Summit 6300 line of configurable single-beam spectrometers.

Summit 6300 products feature low stray light, a wide dynamic range and unequaled performance, particularly in the ultraviolet spectral region (~1nm resolution from 190 to 400nm).

Designed for the most demanding environments, these compact and rugged products are ideal for a variety of spectroscopic measurement applications such as drug discovery, process control, laboratory research and medical diagnostics.

Featuring the company's all-original holographic diffraction grating technology, Summit 6300 products are available in five pre-configured models for non-destructive measurement tasks such as colorimetry, moisture determination, chemical concentration and many others.

In addition, Headwall 's engineering team can custom-configure the Summit 6300 to solve nearly any spectroscopy-based measurement problem.

The five pre-configured models cover a spectral range from 190nm to 1100nm.

All Summit 6300 products utilise a 512-element silicon photodiode array detector and low-noise, 16-bit electronics.

Resolution varies from ~1nm to ~4nm, depending on the spectral range chosen.

Scan rate is four spectra per second.

Aperture is f/2.5 and focal length is ~100 mm.

ummit 6300 products include Headwall's Easy Spec acquisition and display software, which includes an intuitive user interface and a complete line of DLL sub-routines for easy programming of customiszed applications.

In addition, data can be easily exported for further manipulation and analysis.

"The Summit family of products provide the best spectral signature of any competing product on the market today," said David Bannon, vice president of sales and marketing at Headwall Photonics.

"Our embedded core technology of all original holographic gratings provides a level of accuracy previously unavailable in the industry.".
