Together with the content of the dissolved CO2, O2 is a major problem for beverages, particularly in beers and lagers.
Its presence causes rapid product degradation and therefore accurate and swift analysis is essential.
The portable CO2/O2 analyser combines the internationally accepted fast and accurate determination of CO2 content with a highly accurate dissolved oxygen measurement.
The analyser is compact, robust and fully portable, allowing measurements to be taken at any required location within a plant.
The dissolved oxygen measurement is based on a tried and tested optical measuring principle used extensively in the water industry and adapted by Haffmans specifically for the beverage industry.
This technique provides a much faster response time and greater stability than competitive technologies whilst requiring minimum maintenance.
The c-DGM, which has a memory capacity of 400 measurements, offers a measuring range of 0-2000ppb (parts per billion) with an impressive accuracy of +/-1ppb.
Data can be downloaded to a PC and the advanced integrated Identification System ensures full data traceability.
The decision to integrate the Norit Proces Technologie Holding companies within the UK under one roof is part of the group's corporate strengthening programme.
This important strategic decision is aimed at maximising their brand image and product synergy for the benefit of their customers in the brewing, beverage, food, chemical, pharmaceutical and utilities sectors.
Haffmans will operate under the umbrella of leading hygienic valve and control specialist Sudmo (UK) , itself a Norit Proces Technologie Holding company and already established in the UK for almost 20 years.
The UK office will provide comprehensive sales, spares and service support for the full Haffmans range, consisting of quality control equipment, for both in-line and laboratory, units for carbonating, blending and water de-aeration and CO2-recovery technology from different fermentation sources.
