Miniature transducers extend measuring
range
Suitable for a wide range of applications, such as test equipment in the manufacture of switches, pushbuttons or relays
To meet the increased demand for smaller transducers, HBM has launched miniature versions of its popular C9B and U9B series with measuring ranges of 50N, 100N and 200N With these latest models, the C9B and U9B series now extends to the measurement of compressive and tensile forces from 50N to 50kN

HBM provides data acquisition for Airbus testing
HBM UK, the data acquisition and measurement specialist, has been awarded a contract to supply the data acquisition and analysis system for the new Airbus A340-600 wing-testing facility.
The C9B and U9B miniature versions are suitable for a wide range of applications, such as test equipment in the manufacture of switches, pushbuttons or relays.
Typical tasks include the testing of tension and compression in springs or the monitoring of fitting processes.
The latest models are fitted with an hermetically enclosed measuring element to provide optimum protection against water or dust ingress.
Membranes are welded into position to provide high stability against lateral forces and the transducer does not need additional overload stops.
The C9B and U9B miniature versions show good linearity and small hysteresis.
They can be loaded axially by up to 300% of the nominal (rated) force without experiencing permanent damage.
The complete range of U9B transducers from 50N to 200N are also fitted with a detachable lower tensile adapter to make installation easier and further reduce the mounting size.
Maintenance-free knuckle eyes are also available from HBM to provide an alternative fitting method.
The C9B and U9B miniature force transducers can be used in conjunction with other HBM equipment such as displacement transducers and the MP85 two-channel process monitoring system to provide a comprehensive solution. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
