Viewers can now see for themselves the production of the renowned 'red box' and its all important microcuvettes.
With anaemia and diabetes major global healthcare problems, HemoCue has developed products for measuring haemoglobin in whole blood and plasma, glucose in whole blood, and micro quantities of albumin in urine.
Research into new uses of HemoCue's core technology and the development of innovative measurements is ongoing.
HemoCue's diagnostic tests have the precision and accuracy of any hospital laboratory and, as the CD shows, they can be carried out wherever the patient is being cared for, anywhere in the world.
Quality is key to its success, says HemoCue, and this applies particularly to the microcuvette - the main concept behind the system.
Containing the dried reagent needed for analysis, the simple and safe-to-use microcuvette is produced round the clock using advanced technology.
Made in their millions and all with the same, consistent quality, they eliminate the need for recalibration or adjustments to the analysers.
Each microcuvette is visually inspected to ensure no batch to batch difference, and around 2% of each run is also extensively tested in the QC laboratory, with the entire batch discarded if the results do not meet the strict specifications.
Finally, prior to delivery, at least two different technicians calibrate and check the finished product.
HemoCue works hard to provide accurate and relevant information on products and applications, and has opened its own HemoCue school for staff and customers alike.
The company's support of clinical studies and involvement in clinical research all over the world demonstrates their deep commitment to early disease detection.
The HemoCue goal is shared by all employees - enabling healthcare professionals everywhere to obtain rapid test results at point of care with minimum of effort.
