Heath Scientific has added a range of high performance chemiluminescence analysers to its product portfolio The Japanese manufactured Tohoko systems use single photon counting photomultiplyer tubes yielding excellent sensitivity

To facilitate the chemical processes leading to light production, a variety of sample chambers can control heating, cooling, injection of reagent and irradiation with LED.

Tohoko's chemiluminescence instruments have successfully been applied to measurement of antioxidants in blood and tissue, detection of catechins in human plasma, monitor bio-availability and effectiveness of antibiotics on microbial growth.

Samples of various form can be analysed - solid, powder, liquid and thin film all with a sensitivity 10-15Watt/cm2.

Applications span biological, pharmaceutical food and chemical industries giving information on shelf life, degradation and oxidation of material.
