Temperature programmed desorption (TPD) analyses can be performed on samples from just milligram quantities of research or prototype materials using the optional close-coupled mass spectrometer

The latest addition to Hiden Isochema's range of gas sorption analysers is the HTP system, an integrated high-pressure analyser specifically designed for the measurement of hydrogen storage by Sievert's method and by temperature programmed desorption (TPD) Pressure-composition-temperature (PCT) isotherms can be measured automatically at one or more temperatures, and the company offers a range of sample temperature control options from cryogenic to high temperature

Equilibration kinetics are analysed in real-time using the IGA method to ensure the best point-to-point accuracy and the most efficient use of instrument time.

TPD analyses can be performed on samples starting from just milligram quantities of research or prototype materials using the optional close-coupled mass spectrometer.

The sample is first activated or loaded with hydrogen and then cooled to a specified base temperature to lock-in hydrogen.

The total stored hydrogen is then quantified by linear ramp thermal desorption.
