Chemical oxygen demand system is
compatible
Uses internationally recognised chemisty and standard 16mm glass vials to maximise compatibility with users' existing meters and reagents
The Hanna COD system utilises internationally recognised chemisty for maximum compatibility with existing users meters and reagents All Hanna COD reagents are pre-dispensed into 16mm diameter glass vials making them both simple and easy to use

Bench pH meters feature calibration check
Utilises the latest in pH sensor technology to assess the condition and response time of the electrode every time pH calibration is performed
After the reagent reaction time (the industry standard two hours at +150C), the vials are placed in the multi-parameter Hanna C99 colorimeter to obtain direct readout of COD in mg/l.
The C99 meter is also new to the Hanna range and features a waterproof rubber keyboard with a double height LCD display and can be run on either mains or battery power.
In addition to three different COD ranges, the C99 is pre-programmed with 36 other standard water test parameters ranging from aluminium to zinc, allowing the user the flexibility to monitor a whole suite of effluent parameters with just the one instrument.
COD is a vital test parameter used to assess the effect of organic pollutants on receiving waters.
Oxygen depletion due to the activity of micro-organisims can result in adverse effects on the aquatic environment.
COD is the main test criteria used to monitor effluent discharges and controlling the effectiveness of water treatment plant performance.
