Surface mount pressure sensors
Honeywell has introduced the 26PC SMT (surface mount technology) series sensor, the first product offering in its new 20PC SMT pressure sensor family
Typical applications include home appliances, medical equipment, vending machines and instrumentation.
The sensor design is modelled on the existing Honeywell LL Series, but with a completely new sensing element and control electronics.
This solid state solution ensures reliability and an accurate, repeatable switching point for detecting levels of liquid.
Electrically robust, the LLE sensor offers reverse polarity, overvoltage, short circuit and transient protection while its digital output facilitates microprocessor compatibility.
Its mode of operation is derived from the principle of total internal reflection.
An LED and photo transistor are housed within a plastic dome at the head of the device.
The presence or absence of liquid on the dome surface determines the output function.
The LLE Series has a supply voltage of 5V DC and an operating temperature range of -25C to 80C.
Various housing styles are available.
