The tabletop instrument makes creating, running and analysing friction tests simple and fast.
The test system leads the operator through setting up a test protocol, storing the protocol in memory, running the test sample and analysing the results.
The operator fixtures the sample in the FTS collet, selects or creates a test protocol and moves the transport to the desired starting position.
The FTS 5000 does the rest.
Results are displayed in graph and table form in real time as the test progresses.
The FTS 5000 has its own 850mHz single board computer with a 10.4in colour touchscreen.
Test protocols created at remote computers can be imported and test data can be exported via a built-in CDRW drive.
The FTS system can also be added to a local area network.
