Harvard Apparatus offers the new MiniLipoPrep device for rapid, reproducible and convenient preparation of small volumes of liposomes (0.5ml to 1.0ml) from lipid/detergent micelles inside a sample chamber sealed with a membrane A motor rotates the sample chamber at a constant speed

Liposomes are formed during removal of the detergent from the lipid/detergent micelles and dialysis of the detergent through the membrane.

The MiniLipoPrep can prepare homogeneous unilamellar liposomes in about two to three hours.

A larger unit is also available.
