Hugo Sachs Elektronik says it has taken its advanced perfusion technology and extended its utility across the full range of isolated heart model species.

Based on the proven architecture of the IH-SR isolated heart system for mice and rats, HSE says it has perfected this technology, tailoring each system with precise organic geometry for physiological measurement in guinea pigs and rabbits with the IH-5, and small pigs and dogs with the IH-9 In addition to this precise Organic Geometry, all Hugo Sachs Elektronik dedicated isolated heart systems are available with many advanced features

First, is the ability to perfuse under either constant pressure or constant flow conditions.

Second is the ability to switch between Langendorff (retrograde perfusion) and working heart (ejecting) operation, online, in the same heart, with just a few simple manipulations.

The third is an exclusive, patented flow resistance and compliance chamber to more closely mimic in-vivo cardiac afterload and last is the unique modular flexibility.
