Ibidi products enhance visibility in cell analysis

Applied Biophysics has released the Ibidi product line of wounding inserts, angiogenesis slides and high-capacity dishes.

The Ibidi u-slides, u-dishes and plates are suitable for high-end microscopic analysis of fixed or living cells.

The optical quality of the material is similar to that of glass, which allows the user to perform all kinds of fluorescence experiments with uncompromised resolution and wavelength choice.

Ibidi's wounding inserts are ideal for cell migration or cell-invasion studies.

They feature a well-defined cell-free gap, making them more effective than the traditional scrape method.

The inserts can be inserted into any bio-compatible surface and used to culture one or multiple cell lines.

These inserts have two wells that create two distinct cell patches with a defined gap of 400um.

The small capacity (70ul) requires only a small number of cells.

The insert leaves no residue when removed and the protein layer remains intact.

Ibidi's angiogenesis slides produce 3D gel matrices that provide a flat surface for improved visual focus while minimising the use of expensive reagents.

The angiogenesis slide has a 'well within a well design', making it suitable for angiogenesis studies.

Each slide has 15 wells with 50ul capacity and smaller 10ul capacity wells inside.

The small inside-well allows matrigel to set without meniscus forming.

Ibidi's high-capacity dishes now have a 2ml capacity, double the capacity of the low capacity dishes.

Ibidi u-dishes have a locking feature to prevent evaporation in long-term studies.

They are available with a grid or culture-insert option.
