ICR wins Investor in People award
The Institute of Clinical Research (ICR) is celebrating this month after being awarded Investors in People (IiP) status and described as "a highly aspirational and ambitious organisation"
The announcement comes at an exciting time for the ICR as it has just moved to larger premises and been awarded Science Council status, further enhancing the institute's commitment to raising standards and developing professionals The IiP panel singled out the ICR's "skilled recruitment of people with the right skills and experience" and its "strong and visionary leadership from the top, perceptively supported by the board" as key areas of accomplishment." The panel added: "In a very short time this has turned the Institute around, creating a team well-placed for high growth and high quality for members and the profession as a whole"

The IiP standard was developed in 1990 to help organisations improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people.
Each IiP recognised company must undergo a review every three years to ensure it remains relevant, accessible and attractive to all.
"This is a very exciting time for ICR," explains its CEO, John Hooper.
"Not only have we moved to larger more functional premises but we've also gained chartered scientist status and our new trainer, Jacqueline Johnson, is running a customer care course which all of our staff will attend.
"However, these are only the latest examples of how we are committed to raising industry standards and helping our members and our staff develop their careers.".
