At Boehringer Ingelheim, Kensington Discovery Edition will enable integration of multiple hardware platforms, cheminformatics database systems, and computational tools.
Solutions, tailored to Boehringer Ingelheim's needs and exploiting leading third-party software components will feature powerful, customisable web applications and flexible reporting capabilities to drive discovery decisions.
Unlike other data-pipelining approaches, Kensington Discovery Edition will offer a highly flexible environment for developing and modifying information processing and knowledge discovery workflows.
Third party solutions and databases can be easily integrated as nodes in the workflows.
Additionally, there is scope for specialists to build complex applications collaboratively, including developing standard processes, and to deploy them effectively as interactive end-user applications.
Commenting on the agreement, Yike Guo, CEO of InforSense, said: "We are delighted to be working with Boehringer Ingelheim to provide such powerful cheminformatics capabilities.
Our Kensington technology offers a highly flexible environment for bringing together best-of-breed components to create and deliver advanced decision-support capabilities to the desktop." "Kensington Discovery Edition's proven multi-platform integration will enable us to exploit our existing informatics investment and provide a highly extensible discovery environment for the future", added Herbert Köppen, head of chemoinformatics of Boehringer Ingelheim.
