Easy cell culture scale-up

Compact roller system can be used for cultivating cells or for producing cellular products such as antibodies and recombinant proteins on a research or laboratory scale

Cellroll is a compact roller system from Integra Biosciences for the cultivation of adherent and suspension cells It can be used for cell studies, cultivating cells or for producing cellular products such as antibodies and recombinant proteins on a research or laboratory scale

To create the optimal cell growth conditions the Cellroll uses motor driven ball bearing rollers that gradually and smoothly implement movement minimising detrimental vibration and shear forces.

The motor has been specially selected to ensure no heat is transferred into the incubator.

Bottle racks are modular with one power unit controlling up to eight racks or 16 roller bottles.

The Cellroll is described as easy to install: just click and roll.

The unit accommodates roller bottles with volumes of 300-400ml.

The control unit is completely programmable in regard to spin direction and motion (continuous spin or oscillation), bottle angle, speed, and interval cycles for precise control during the growth phase.

The control board can remain outside the CO2 incubator allowing for changes to the programme without opening the incubator door.

The entire unit is CO2 and moisture resistant, and comes with a built in timer and alarm system to alert users to a problem before cells are lost.

A printer port is available for printing of protocols and documentation.

The complete unit comes with a drive motor, control unit and two modular stackable decks.

Two models are available with rotation speeds of either 1-2rpm or a faster motor at 2-6rpm depending on the cell type.

The racks can fit horizontally or vertically in most CO2 incubators. Request a free brochure from Integra Biosciences ...
