By using two of Integra's Mediajet 540s in the past year, Izsler was able to fill more than 1.3 million perfect Petri dishes, without stopping.
The reliability of the Mediajet systems has significantly reduced downtime and labour costs associated with the older plate pouring systems previously used by Izsler.
The Integra Biosciences' Mediajet 540 uses a mechanical dish guidance system, monitored by a set of sensors throughout the filling process.
Mediajet 540 eliminates downtime and media loss caused by dish jams, which result from variations in the diameter, shape and rim profile of the disposable plastic Petri dishes.
The Mediajet's Media Spread Function capability ensures homogeneous distribution and an even surface, providing the most efficient use of the media.
This minimises losses and regulates the agar level in each Petri dish.
