Inverness Medical says it is enabling healthcare professionals to deliver fast, accurate and reliable results with its Clearview Women's Health product portfolio.
These simple one-step tests have, says the company, demonstrated proven efficiency in clinics, hospitals and laboratories, and their speed and accuracy makes Clearview products ideal for emergency treatment rooms.
Clearview HCG and Clearview Easy HCG accurately detect the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in urine at levels as low as 25mlU/ml, with a rfeported accuracy of >99%.
Clearview Easy HCG offers greater flexibility with four easy sampling procedures.
In addition, Clearview hCG Combo offers fast, high-sensitivity detection of hCG in both urine and serum at levels as low as 25mIU/ml.
This 'excellent' sensitivity, specificity and speed allows appropriate action to be taken immediately, which is crucial in an emergency situation.
The Clearview product portfolio also features Clearview Easy LH, a one-step immunoassay for the qualitative detection of a luteinising hormone (LH) surge in urine, which has been shown to precede ovulation by approximately 24-36 hours.
This is an established and effective method in the management of fertility and results can be obtained in three minutes.
This information can then be used to time intercourse to help achieve conception, eliminating the need for expensive traditional laboratory methods of testing that require repeated clinic visits.
Inverness Medical has also expanded the range to include the innovative Careplan VpH test glove.
A test strip is located at the tip of the index finger to allow self-measurement of the pH of the vaginal environment, where increased pH indicates the presence of infections in the vaginal tract.
This easy-to-use glove allows threatening infections that can increase the risk of premature birth to be detected and treated as early as possible.
Early treatment will greatly improve the health of both mother and child, as well as making significant cost savings* to clinical services.
All Clearview diagnostic tests are available in a range of convenient pack sizes, have a long shelf life and can be stored at room temperature.
