Refrigerated vacuum traps to protect oil sealed vacuum pumps from solvent and acid process vapours

Ilmvac introduces the Vaporvac range of refrigerated vacuum traps to protect oil sealed vacuum pumps from solvent and acid process vapours.

Best known for its PTFE diaphragm vacuum pump innovations, Ilmvac also manufactures four ranges of oil-sealed rotary vane pumps and therefore understands exactly how to extend oil change and service intervals in laboratory applications.

Available in 1, 15 and 30 litre capacities with trapping temperatures of -50C and -80C, the Vaporvac traps are constructed from stainless steel and include a temperature gauge to monitor efficiency.

Standard vacuum flanges make them suitable for use with any make of pump.

Angus Willis, MD of Ilmvac UK, comments, 'In my experience the use of refrigerated traps can extend oil change intervals from weekly to annually in many cases.

Our Chemvac pumps are the most resistant on the market but if you don't have one then you need a good trap.'.
