A Biotage product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Oct 4, 2005

Multimode solid phase extraction (SPE) columns can be used for the extraction and clean-up of acrylamide from various foodstuffs

Isolute Multimode SPE columns can be used for the extraction and clean-up of acrylamide from various foodstuffs.

Argonaut Technologies, now a Biotage company, has a simple four-step methodology using Isolute Multimode SPE columns that is suitable for use with various matrices including fries, potato crisps/chips, crispbreads, biscuits, flour and coffee, allowing the removal of matrix components, which gives cleaner extracts for analysis by LC-MS.

Isolute Multimode SPE columns retain the interferences through non-polar, anion and cation exchange retention mechanisms, while the water-soluble acrylamide passes through the column.

Isolute Multimode is available in columns for manual or automated sample processing and a plate format for high throughput applications.
