Portable IR pyrometer has fast response
Recognising the need for a quality affordable pyrometer for the metals industry, Impac Infrared has developed a new fast response, high temperature, short wavelength pyrometer
The new IGA 15 plus has a temperature range of 250 to 1800C with a target size of just 4mm at a distance of 800mm, or 1.25mm at 250mm with an optional close-up lens This small target ability makes it an ideal instrument for laboratory and research applications, previously requiring high cost instruments

A built-in laser targeting light indicates the position and size of the measuring spot, making alignment quick and easy.
The large, easy to read, illuminated LC display indicates the max, min, or average temperature and the settings for emissivity, measuring mode and alarm functions.
The IGA 15 plus has a built-in data logger, which can store upto 750 values for recall or analysis using the optional PortaWin software.
The pyrometer has both a serial RS232 interface and an analogue output (1mV/C) enabling it to be used for short term online monitoring etc.
Its fast response time of only 20msec and wide temperature range makes it an ideal instrument for many applications in the metals processing industry, such as preheating, tempering, hardening, forging, brazing, etc.
