Laboratory project win at Imperial
College London
ISG InteriorExterior has been awarded a £1.6 million project by Imperial College London to upgrade facilities at the Department of Earth Science and Engineering
The highly regarded department, which is part of the faculty of engineering, will benefit from enhanced IT capabilities, with the construction of six new computer suites, along with two new teaching laboratories The project sees ISG InteriorExterior strip out existing office accommodation within the department to form six new computer suites, which will feature moveable partition walls to enhance flexibility

In addition to the installation of new mechanical and electrical services, suspended ceilings and floor finishes, ISG InteriorExterior will also build a range of bespoke display cabinets, which will be used to display the department's geological samples.
The project also involves the construction of two new waste management laboratories within an existing storage area.
The contractor will construct a structural steel mezzanine floor above the new teaching laboratories to house the specialist mechanical and electrical services required, and the new laboratories will be equipped to a high standard.
The fast track project is scheduled for completion by May 2007.
