High capacity metals test system
Performs tensile tests on a variety of metal specimens ranging from heavy sheet, plate and round steel to more delicate specimens like aluminium sheet
Instron, a provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, announces its new TestMaster automation system This high capacity metals test system performs tensile tests on a variety of metal specimens ranging from heavy sheet, plate and round steel to more delicate specimens like aluminum sheet
TestMaster is a fully automated metal tensile tester that provides two-way communication between the test system and the existing mainframe.
Designed to automatically identify test specimens, establish specimen handling-routines, and calculate and transfer test results, this system improves throughput and accuracy, and reduces operator participation.
The system includes robotic specimen handling, digital dimension measurement and a 600kN high capacity load frame with automated hydraulic grips and automatic strain measurement.
