Systems to suit all pockets and techniques, from capturing an image of an ethydium bromide-stained gel for your lab notebook, to imaging a chemiluminescent blot with a deeply-cooled camera

Jencons-PLS, in conjunction with UVP and UVItec, is able to offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of gel documentation available Systems are available for all techniques, and models are available to suit all pockets

Whether you just want to capture an image of an ethydium bromide-stained mini-gel to put in your laboratory notebook, or image a chemiluminescent blot with a deeply-cooled camera, Jencons-PLS can guide you in the right direction.

Simple CCD-based systems that can capture an image without the need for a PC start off the range.

Utilising the integral TFT monitor, images can be intensified to highlight weaker bands, but saturation warning means that the image is not overexposed.

Images can be saved to a floppy disc for transfer to a PC for analysis, or simply printed out using a high-resolution thermal printer.

Systems with overhead UV lighting are also available for TLC detection.

PC-based gel documentation systems are available with CCD video or digital cameras.

A variety of darkrooms and transilluminators can be selected, depending on the size of gel or film being imaged.

Manual and automated zoom lenses are available.

Software allows the capture, manipulation and annotation of samples as well as more advanced applications such as molecular weight determination and density measurement.

Systems for chemiluminescence feature high-end cooled digital cameras for higher resolution, greater dynamic range and low noise.

Jencons-PLS have systems dedicated solely to chemiluminescence as well as multi-purpose systems for fluorescent viewing in addition to chemiluminescence.

Advances in digital imaging technology mean that these systems are just as sensitive as old-fashioned film-based imaging, thereby saving money on expensive developing chemicals and time in processing.

Jencons-PLS has product specialists to guide you through the options and demonstrate the best gel documentation system for your requirements.
