The short courses will take place at 08.30am on Tuesday 9 March and Wednesday 10 March 2004, respectively.
The courses are targeted at small to medium sized enterprises that aim to break into, or need help managing existing business in the European analytical science market.
'Selling and managing in the European laboratory market' (Tuesday 9 March) will provide all the information required to get and manage sales growth, including an introduction to business in the European Union and the relevant legislation.
The short course will highlight issues such as pricing, the euro, and targeted communication via market research, PR and brand management.
The course will also address how to find, appoint and manage European distributors.
'Chemical regulations in Europe' (Wednesday 10 March), led by Peter Short who has 30 years of experience working in the chemicals industry, will provide a discussion on the basis of European chemicals legislation.
It will focus on the regulations that apply to the sale and transport of hazardous products, including those relevant for labels, MSDSs, and briefly highlight other requirements such as control of chemical weapon precursors that will help companies to identify potential problems before they occur.
The Jenks Partnership says it provides analytical scientific experience, particularly in the analytical, pharmaceutical, forensic and environmental sectors together with proven business development competence to aid smaller, often more dynamic US organisations to achieve European business success.
