Really grate award
Jobin Yvon has received a prestigious excellence award from NASA for its holographic diffraction gratings supplied to the Hubble Space Telescope
Jobin Yvon recently received the NASA Excellence Award "In recognition of your holographic diffraction gratings for the Cosmic Origin Spectrograph (COS) instrument that will enable a new generation of scientific exploration for the Hubble Space Telescope, the astronomers of the world, and every person who looks to the sky in wonder" said Professor James Green, Principal Investigator on COS and Director of CU's Center for Astrophysics and Space Astronomy

Performance spectroradiometric system is economic
Jobin Yvon is pleased to introduce the SpectRad Gemini - a dedicated, fully integrated, spectroradiometric system offering high performance at an economical price.
The holographic gratings, (up to 5870 grooves per millimeter) present outstanding performance in efficiency and spectral purity: "The COS instrument will be 20 times more sensitive than anything flying today.
The gratings were delivered above the specifications, on time and at cost," said Professor Green.
Jobin Yvon has produced challenging diffraction gratings for a number of NASA space born astronomical projects such as the Hubble Space Telescope (HST),Goddard High Resolution Spectrograph (GHRS), the Space Telescope Spectrograph (STIS), the Lyman Fuse Spectrograph (FUSE), and others.
