Pulse RF generator for glow discharge instruments

A Horiba Jobin Yvon product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Jul 17, 2003

Radio frequency generator for series of glow discharge OES instruments operates in both the normal continuous mode and in a new pulse mode

Jobin Yvon introduces a new radio frequency (RF) generator for the GD-Profiler series of glow discharge OES instruments.

This flexible generator operates in both the normal continuous mode and in a new pulse mode.

The source mode and conditions are computer controlled.

The pulse mode extends the applications of RF-GD to thermal sensitive coatings and materials.

Thermal sensitive glasses, rubber layers on stainless steel, and polymer materials have already been tested and data presented.

Jobin Yvon offers an application note, 'Analysis of rubber on stainless steel using pulse RF', which can be downloaded from the applications library of its website.

RF-GD-OES allows surface, depth profile and bulk analysis of conductive and non-conductive materials and coatings with ease of use, speed and high sensitivity.
