Horiba Scientific will be holding a particle sizing and image analysis workshop at its offices in Stanmore, Middlesex.

The workshop will take place on 26 March 2009 from 10:00 until 15:00.

Throughout the day sessions will be held on various particle-sizing techniques and instrumentation; time will also be spent on hands-on demonstrations of the equipment.

Topics will include: concepts, definitions and parameters of particle size measurement; representative sample extraction; laser diffraction and dynamic light scattering particle size analysis; and image analysis.

There is also the opportunity to have material analysed free of charge.

The amount of sample required depends on the technique used.

Although the analysis cannot be done on the day of the workshop, the company's application laboratory will run the samples and report the results.

This service is strictly limited to three samples per company.
