Modular benchtop instrument is designed for completely automated viscosity testing of oils, petroleum derivatives, and additives to ASTM D 445 specifications

John Morris Scientific presents the Cannon CAV-2000 automatic viscometer This is a modular benchtop instrument designed for completely automated viscosity testing of oils, petroleum derivatives, and additives to ASTM D 445 specifications

The CAV-2000 satisfies widely accepted precision and repeatability requirements, such as those specified in ASTM D 445.

The instrument consists of one or more single bath units incorporating control circuitry, and a service unit.

Each bath unit holds two ASTM D 446 viscometer tubes, with each tube providing a 100-fold viscosity range.

Special fast-run tubes are also available to speed up the testing of certain types of samples.

The 13-position sample trays allow the operator to prepare up to 13 samples per tube or 26 samples per bath for unattended operation.

Cannon's optional high-capacity sample track provides for unattended throughput of 50 samples per viscometer, for a total of 100 samples per CAV-2000 bath.

As many as four bath units may be connected to a single PC and service unit.

Bath temperatures from 20C to 150C can be set by the user.

A dual solvent system provides complete cleaning of the viscometers after each test run.

Pre- and post-run heating accessories are also available.

Viscpro software for Windows makes it easy to select operating parameters, security levels, and data reporting formats.

In addition, Cannon's CAV-2000 automatic viscometer may be fully integrated into an Lims system.
