Super-fast actuators for cupboard and
cleanroom
The actuator can open an air louvre or ventilation system within 1.5 seconds of a trigger, ensuring negative air pressures are maintained within fume cupboards and cleanrooms
JS Actuators is launching its new range of fast acting actuators designed for fume cupboard and cleanroom ventilation systems The actuator can open an air louvre or ventilation system within 1.5 seconds of a trigger, ensuring negative air pressures are maintained within fume cupboards and cleanrooms, and gasses aren't allowed to escape

The range is offered at an extremely economical price compared to its competitors, says the company, and is available with rotational speeds of 1.5, 3.5 and 20 seconds.
This range of actuators is also ideal for a wide range of other applications including containment rooms, generator rooms, water source heat pump valves, stairwell pressurisation and any application where fast opening and shut-off is essential.
Failsafe and non-failsafe models are available.
The failsafe units incorporate the patented Enerdrive system, which uses super capacitors to store energy ready to move the actuator to a failsafe position, either open or closed, in the event of a power failure.
Traditionally this was accomplished by mechanical springs, but as the Enerdrive system does not use springs the energy required to wind the spring up is eliminated.
This allows the actuator to increase unit efficiency, use less power, have a smaller motor and tests have shown that, compared to mechanical spring systems, the motor life is increased by as much as six times, says the company.
Although the Neptronic brand is relatively unknown in the UK, the company has been a leading US manufacturer of actuators and actuated valves for the last 15 years.
The company designed its range to meet the increasing complexities of building automation resulting in a range that incorporates the latest in actuator technology.
The units are quick and easy to install with trouble-free commissioning.
JS Actuators is the sole Neptronic distributor for the UK.
