The laboratory acquires data from a large number of patient samples every day, via a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
The hospital analytical group required a reliable and flexible system with distributed workstations accessing a centralised data server.
Due to the urgency of the results and the large number of samples produced the goal was to automate the chromatography process as far as possible.
"We are pleased with the installation of Chrom Perfect V.5, which has the flexibility to adapt to the unique protocols and procedures that a hospital environment requires.
It was essential for us to deploy a data system across the range of chromatography instruments, allowing a number of operators to use the system simultaneously from remote workstations, with all the data stored on a central server.
Using the security system within Chrom Perfect to protect important data, users and managers have varying levels of password access.
This ensures that we maintain an excellent level of service, within a secure data infrastructure.
Other chromatography data systems appear to be focused on the needs and requirements of large industrial/chemical organisations and are not practical for our type of application.
