Driver aids integration of syringe pumps
LabView driver enhances the automation and integration of the KD 200 series of syringe pumps with other lab and process equipment in a variety of R and D and process applications
KD Scientific products now can be powered by National Instruments LabView software, a widely used graphical development environment for performing data acquisition analysis and presentation KD Scientific and National Instruments collaborated to develop the driver

Spill protection for microscopes and lab equipment
KD Scientific has introduced the new OS-250, a system which detects spills and leaks before they cause a problem in an expensive microscope or other piece of equipment
This new LabView driver enhances the automation and integration of the KD 200 series of syringe pumps with other lab and process equipment in a variety of R and D and process applications.
The driver is a part of more than 4900 new drivers from National Instruments that deliver connectivity for instruments serving many industries and all standard software and bus interfaces.
Because engineers and scientists can view and modify the source code of these instrument drivers, they can easily integrate additional functionality and optimise code for their particular applications.
Engineers and scientists now can download free drivers for the KD Scientific series 200 syringe pumps through National Instruments's Instrument Driver Network.
The series 200 syringe pumps are widely used for delivering smooth consistent flow from 1nl/hr to 145ml/min.
The units work with syringes from 10ul to 140ml.
Typical accuracy is +/-1%.
There are six models in the series 200 including the standard infusion-only to a continuous pump.
Applications for the KDS 200 series and these new drivers are in pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, biotechnology, semiconductor, plastics, industrial, government, and scientific research and development markets.
