Three-in-one liquid handling
Tower can quickly and efficiently filter, pipette and aspirate a wide range of liquids using a central vacuum unit, eliminating the need for separate devices for each task
KNFLab, the laboratory division of KNF Neuberger, has announced the launch of a new three-in-one liquid handling device The KNFLab Tower can quickly and efficiently filter, pipette and aspirate a wide range of liquids using a central vacuum unit, eliminating the need for separate devices for each task

Expensive pumps prove more cost-effective
Contract research organisation CB Research and Development has installed vacuum pumps from KNF Neuberger in its six laboratories because it found them to be the most cost effective
Filtration devices are easily attached to the central unit of the tower via a hose with a quick release coupling and, in a similar way, pipetting units with sterile filters can be connected, removing the need for separate pumps and power sources.
Likewise, liquids can be aspirated into sealed and contamination-proof two-litre bottles using the tower, with the pressure monitored by an internal vacuum gauge.
The KNFLab Tower allows both the flow rate during aspiration and filtering, and the suction and delivery rate during pipetting to be easily regulated.
The tower is very quiet and completely portable, with locking castors that allow it to be easily rolled under a laboratory bench.
