Safe formalin embedding with KNF
Liquiport pumps
Microm Microtech France, a medical laboratory equipment supplier based in Rhone, develops formalin embedding systems that incorporate Liquiport NF 300 and NF 1.300 diaphragm pumps from KNF Flodos
The systems are used for embedding human specimens on Microm Microtech's autopsy workstations, which are widely used by pathological anatomy laboratories for safe specimen processing Michel Nunes designs and manufactures the workstations at Microm Microtech France and has been using KNF Flodos pumps for the embedding systems for around five years

Pumps help to scale up chemical manufacturing
Process chemists at AstraZeneca in Sweden are using the Stepdos and Liquiport ranges of liquid pumps from KNF Flodos for the development of their manufacturing processes
"I was very satisfied with the pumps when I initially tested them," Nunes explained.
"The characteristics of the head material are ideal for the formalin embedding system and we have found the pumps to be incredibly robust, safe and durable.
"We use around 50 pumps per year and none of our systems have had any problems in all the time we have been using the pumps".
The multipurpose Liquiport has been designed for aspirating or transferring liquids for industry and laboratory use.
The pump head is available in a variety of different materials to suit a wide range of different chemicals, and customised options are also available.
