LimsLink 3.1 - focus on data security

A Labtronics product story
Edited by the Laboratorytalk editorial team Nov 9, 2001

New features and enhancements designed to ensure security of laboratory data and maintain 21 CFR Part 11 compliance in transfer of data from instrument to LIMS

The most evident new feature in LimsLink 3.1 is the introduction of an E-signature option that challenges the user to revalidate their identity before selected operations are carried out.

All challenges and their responses, successful or not, are automatically recorded in the audit trail.

This provides a secure environment that can be configured to meet the individual requirements of specific implementations.

Additional security enhancements have also been introduced to the existing password, audit trail and archiving functions.

The implementation of a powerful runtime automation feature and a new secure applications launcher round out the list of new features in this release.
