Prodigious performance from ICP
spectrometer

Using a novel large format programmable array solid state detector and a high-dispersion Echelle spectrometer for low noise and interference-free low detection levels

The new Prodigy high dispersion simultaneous ICP (inductively coupled plasma) optical emission spectrometer from Leeman Labs is now available in the UK from Lambda Advanced Technology Using a novel large format programmable array solid state detector (L-PAD) and a high-dispersion Echelle spectrometer, Prodigy offers low noise and interference-free low detection levels

The new detector has over four times the active area of conventional detector designs and information from each pixel can be accessed individually.

This means that not only can an entire spectrum be acquired during a single integration, but individual wavelengths or groups of wavelengths can also be selected.

This unique detector arrangement also allows large amounts of data to be nondestructively downloaded as a pixel 'fills up' without affecting adjacent pixels which may contain small amounts of data.

In this way, small peaks can be detected without being swamped by large peaks, with a resultant improvement in detection levels.

Prodigy also features an image-stabilised ICP source and a wide variety of sample introduction systems for diverse analytical applications.

Using Windows-based software, the instrument provides fully automated control of all plasma properties, sample introduction parameters and QC controls.

Added flexibility is provided through field-programmable electronics and system diagnostics, including remote service access.

A long-life generator, programmed maintenance prompts and integral audio-visual help facility ensures that Prodigy is both durable and reliable. Request a free brochure from Lambda Advanced Technology ...
