Tabletop SEM is as easy to use as a digital camera
This novel instrument gives performance far in excess of an ordinary optical microscope, requires no special sample preparation for hydrated, oily or non-conducting samples, and is easy to use
"It provides imaging capabilities far in excess of optical microscopes in terms of resolution, depth of field and magnification.
"The Microscience exhibition provides a perfect opportunity for large numbers of people to see for themselves just how easy it really is to produce high quality digital images.
" In addition, there is no specimen preparation required.
"Even oily, hydrated or non-conducting samples can be viewed using the 'charge-up reduction' mode," he continued.
"As the TM-1000 can accommodate samples up to 70mm in diameter and 20mm thickness, we're actively encouraging visitors to bring something along that they'd like to image in the microscope".
The TM-1000 is linked to a laptop computer and features an extremely simple user interface, which lets users select focus, magnification, brightness and contrast.
Start-up and specimen exchange routines are fully automatic at the touch of a single button, and autofocus, auto- brightness and auto-contrast functions are also provided.
High quality images can be produced over a magnification range of 20-10,000x using standard imaging and up to 40,000x using digital zoom and can be saved directly to disk. Request a free brochure from Lambda Advanced Technology ...
