HPLC course covers wide range of equipment

A Laserchrom HPLC Laboratories product story

Laserchrom has agreed with Kent University Department of Chemistry to provide HPLC training for undergraduates going on industrial placements for twelve months

Laserchrom will be providing HPLC training for Kent University Department of Chemistry undergraduates going on industrial placements for twelve months, based on Laserchrom's highly regarded Introduction to Practical HPLC Course.

This course has been used by many organisations as a "driving licence" for HPLC, as it is designed to provide a basic understanding of the technique and also experience in setting up and operating HPLC systems.

Having attended the course students would be expected to be able to power up a system and run samples and calibrations.

One important feature of all the Laserchrom courses is that they teach the technique of HPLC "and not just how to press the buttons on one manufacturer's equipment".

To help achieve this, the practical elements of the course utilise not just Laserchrom equipment but equipment from up to 12 different manufacturers so that students are aware of the different approaches each takes and the advantages and disadvantages of each.

The teaching facilities at our laboratories in Rochester are well equipped with a classroom, teaching laboratory and servicing laboratory and we provide refreshments and food throughout the day.

Each student who attends our courses receives a certificate and a comprehensive set of notes (up to 200 pages) and all are encouraged to make use of the technical help Laserchrom offer to all HPLC users in the UK.
