Latest additions are single mode DFBs emitting at 4.7um and 5.3um, which are the wavelengths for CO and NO detection

Laser Components is continuing to expand the wavelength range of its quantum cascade laser series Latest additions are single mode DFBs emitting at 4.7um and 5.3um, which are the wavelengths for CO and NO detection

In addition, a multimode version is available at 4.75um.

The company says this wavelength is perfectly suited for many existing infrared camera systems.

Lasers in the 8-12um range are also available.

Specdilas-Q lasers come mounted on a Peltier cooler and packaged into a TO-8 housing.

Usually they are supplied with a complete, cell phone sized, laser head called Quanta-OEM including the necessary driver and controller.

Recently, Laser Components announced that it is possible to rent such infrared laser heads in order to conduct experiments before a purchase.
