UK company Laser Components reports that a diffractive optical element (DOE) for 1064nm lasers has been added to Holo-Or's Multi Spot series of products that it offers.

The DOE generates nine by nine beams, each separated by 0.25 degrees - projecting 81 beams, resulting in a square array of two by two degrees.

Besides 1064nm lasers, the same kind of optics can be designed for other wavelengths such as 266nm, 532nm, 632.8nm and 1550nm at custom separation angles.

The beams can be focused to a point by a single focusing lens, producing a far field pattern.

In this case, the 25mm diameter lens (3mm thick and made from fused silica) can be supplied, also with high power laser AR coatings.
