The Petrotest Semi-Automatic Gum Tester Five-Unit Dry-Heat Bath has a safety-multifunction head for simultaneous positioning of all five pre-adjusted inlet-tubes to pre-heating or working position

The ASTM D381 Dry Heat Bath now features an innovative rotating steam jet handle, which eliminates the hassle and burn injuries that might arise when steam jets are removed manually for sample beaker replacement Gum content is the residue of substances (mainly aircraft fuels and motor gasoline) under investigation which are not evaporated under test conditions

The gum content is measured in units of mg/100 ml.

The Petrotest Semi-Automatic Gum Tester Five-Unit Dry-Heat Bath comprises a housing of stainless steel with high temperature insulation; safety-multifunction head for simultaneous positioning of all five pre-adjusted inlet-tubes to pre-heating or working position.

The handle is in a position where steam is not hazardous to the operator; five-place metal heating block and steam super-heater; manual air supply control valve; manometer with preset calibration marks for both air- and steam-method; digital electronic heating block control; liquid thermostat for steam super-heater and over-temperature protection for the two blocks; 3750W block electric heaters; draining system to withdraw condensed water safely.

The unit is supplied complete with 10 glass beakers, one thermometer and one gas supply filter.
