LabAlliance introduced the Essence, an integrated HPLC workstation, at Pittcon 03 Essence combines the unique Q-Grad high-pressure mixing quaternary pump, choice of programmable UV/vis or scanning fluorescence detector, manual injector, the company's Unity data and LC control package, laptop computer as standard features
A column compartment with holders for three columns is included and may be upgraded for column heating.
In addition to the components in the standard configuration, Unity controls LabAlliance's autosampler.
Future models of Essence will be tailored for microflow applications.
